Will 2016 Bring New Blades from a Company Known for the Opposite?

What major golf brand is the least likely to produce a set of blades or musclebacks?

Easy, PING of course. Well, not so fast. This month they filed two trademark applications for the iBLADE mark, available here and here. Sure, they may intend to use the mark on a putter, but Karsten’s trademark history tells me that they generally don’t file both work mark and stylized design mark applications for putters.

Should be an interesting 2016. Heck, they may even finally use the DRAGONFLY name on a product (according to forum rumors).
