My Sobering Return to Reality after 4 Days of Golf in Palm Springs
Blogging has been slow lately. I apologize, but everyone needs a vacation once in a while. I just returned from a great trip to Palm Springs where I was fortunate to play many of the PGA West courses. Needless to say…. it was incredible. The courses were beautiful and my game was awful after a long Ohio winter break, but what surprised me the most was the fishing! Yes, fishing on golf courses in the middle of the desert…… it just doesn’t sound right. Thus, other than a par on “Alcatraz” (the 17th Hole of the PGA West® Stadium Golf® Course), the following photos show some of the highlights of the trip.
Yes, that is a kiddie fishing pole in the lower picture, and notice that I am still wearing my golf glove. Obviously I never expected to catch anything when making a few casts while waiting on a tee box!
Something else worth mentioning is that this is the second trip I have made using a prototype version of the Club Glider® travel bag. As you may recall, it was one of the few products on the Fore Inventors Only program that I was truly a fan of. Chalk it up as a great product….. two trips with my clubs and no bruises on my forearms (as would be the case with my old hard-case travel bag). I never thought that traveling with your clubs could be easy….. plus, it is funny watching people try to figure out what is in the bag. I actually had a lady take a picture of it in the airport.
I will get back to my blogging ways soon, as there is much to report on including a lawsuit brought by John Daly against Hippo Golf.
