GolfTech Jumps Into the Golf Patent Infringement Litigation Arena with “Sport Swing Analysis System” Patent
The GolfTech that recently filed a patent infringement lawsuit probably isn’t the one that you are thinking of. The patent infringement plaintiff is not the golfTEC teaching franchise, but rather the owner of USPN 6821211 titled “Sport Swing Analysis System” and licensor of the technology for the P3ProSwing golf simulator and swing analyzer.

PS – If you read this blog then you probably have some understanding that the process of obtaining a patent is not an inexpensive process. That said, check out the drawings in the ‘211 patent! My opinion is that the $150 that they saved by filing crude hand sketches ends up costing then infinitely more in the long run in terms of lost credibility. A patent may have the most beautifully written claims only to be viewed as “amateurish” because of sloppy drawings. I would not want to try to explain the patent to a jury using these drawings… (this marks the end of my ramblings)…
