A Golf Ball Patent Statistic That is Hard to Believe (if I had not come up with it myself)

Looking at US golf ball patents that have issued since the year 1800 I came to the realization that by the end of 2007, more golf ball related patents had issued in the 21st century than the entire 19th and 20th centuries combined! Pretty amazing.
